- Public Enemy - Live at The Ritz, Manchester
Still got the flavour. Still the kings.
- Iceage - New Brigade LP
It only takes 25 minutes girl, if you're punk enuff, if yer punk! These kids just want everything now. You have to applaud their desire when their hit list seems to include the back catalog of Uniton and G.B.H. The Danes are alright for fighting. Oh yeah even if I missed the manc gig by these Warsaw loving youths. They'll be back.
Buy it at Piccadilly.
Watch a daft viddy fer a bit doe.
- Baxter Dury - Happy Soup
Dunno if it 'its the 'eights of Cocaine Man but is in the same vein i.e twee, deadpan, kitchen sink romance delivered with a derivative (if more downbeat) kinks-y cockernee eccentricity. Fack orf 'how's yr father?' this is pretty good on it's own, despite the same accent. Catchy as fuck, like a more 'old boozer', less Shoreditch Metronomy. Get. Innit tho.
- Tiger & Woods - Gin Nation - Through The Green Lp - Running back
You know when you REALLY love Tensnake and hoped there were other disco and house heads making music like Tensnake but maybe a bit different and a bit more classic filter-y and sexy repetitive...
...I mean if a girl tells you how much she likes your cock repeatedly then that's in no way boring is it?
- Mike Simonetti - Song For Luca - Capricorn Rising Lp - Italians Do It Better.
My man. Nobody does it better, cappice? - Wild Nothing - Live At Deaf Institute, MCR.
Full band rounded out the sound beautifully including the heckle 'Everybody's is getting wet'. Never mezzanine snog is the lesson.
- Mass - Cross Purposes - Labour Of Love LP - 4AD
LP about to be re-released and about fucking time. More brit old school new wave doom pls. Black laughs.
- Mission Of Burma - Wounded World - onOFFon LP
I love these old cunts so much it makes me want to vom.
- Keith Hudson - Flesh of My Skin, Blood Of My Blood
John Peel serialised a Keith Hudson LP when I was a smaller cunt and he has never disappointed me. Shove Bob Marley up your ass pipe, pop reg twats.

Black Box 19 :: Efil4Onket
BB19 :: Efil4Onket by Simon Saint-Simon
Designed and composed by Simon Saint-Simon
C Ya Simon Pukey
It is with deep regret and sadness that we must confirm to the listenership the departure from The Ark of Simon Clifford Pukey. Not only was he the chief engineer of Black Box and an expert in his field but he was also a dear friend.
Not citing ill health as a reason he referred to a desire to pursue more pure and consistent political and philosophical aims with his group Brothers Bear Arms. With this in mind Simon has issued the following statement (referenced in part below) on his Facebook account
'I hereby recognise myself as a sovereign state and here forth remove myself from the digital media light district, severing all ties forthwith. Like all organic creatures I find repose in shadows. I find myself an auratic, autonomous and uncommodifiable individual and refuse any longer to support exploitative frameworks in exchange for vicarious identity & second hand love. Safe voyage my brothers and sisters. The night is long but i will be at your shoulder always. Dont forget.'
This is my musical farewell (i only know how to party not how to grieve) at a loss of a dear brother as relevant as Ersnt, Mayakovsky, Bakunin, Cendrars, Kerouac, Levan, Alkan, Fellini, Prince and every other anarcho-disco legend not mentioned.

Black Box 18 :: Annual Report 2010 (Part Un)
Illustrated by Milla Galea
Composed by Simon Saint-Simon
On a wintry and treacherous December 17 2010 Simon Saint-Simon was joined by Harrison Prickles in the overtly comfortable, air-conditioned halls of the Heyward Gallery, South Bank, London. Here in front of a partially live audience they met to discuss the years highlights thus far. However neither expected the dead air that ensued to result in their incarceration. A breif relaxation of the ancient sphinctal libel laws means that a show that was quickly banned can now have the first putrescent corpse of its visi-gogging aired here today now. FREE THE RACECASTE 2!!

Black Box 17 :: Swallows' Pit
Illustrated by Milla Galea
Composed by Simon Saint-Simon
3/3 recorded live at Westminster Road Necropolis. Twilight has fallen upon the terminal dawn and no day to speak of lies crooked between atrium panes. Feathers have been spilled upon lost marble flooring but before these petrifications, a lively August swaying brought to fruit the globular and monal last spits of Simonhain which was accompanied, as is the tradition, by the bearing aloft of chairs, arms and other instruments of love.
This year the females and males played in honour of Dickie Hyde who came northwards to suprise himself square within the pyramid, laid-bare as he was with gauntlets and down-laden with dumb number.

Black Box 16 :: L'Eternel
Illustrated by Milla Galea
Composed by Simon Saint-Simon
2/3 recorded LIVE at the Frog and Nightmare, as part of Chester's 'Simonhain' festivities celebrating the end of summer, the dead and the return home of a heavily corrupt and compromised political careerist who cares not a jot about the Wales he isn't from.
Local bumfunsters 'What Do You Do?' egg-on Simon to loosen the swelling gourd of his glans into the divinely unbalanced ampola of bass bin and tweeter and then leer in character at the salivating throng as they lasciviously ululate at the trough. In a heavy trance this is the midpoint of the rite.
